No One Will See God Without Holiness

No One Will See God Without Holiness

Personal Holiness: No One Will See God without Holiness

Foundational Scripture:
Hebrews 12:14: Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life,  for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.

As a child of God You have to work through your flesh to live a holy lifestyle. It is not easy. Walk in these scriptures below to help kill your flesh, and to change your way of thinking, so that you will see God and serve Him in eternity.

1 Corinthians 3:16-20

16Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? 17God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. 18Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, “He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.” 20And again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise; He knows they are worthless.

2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1

14Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 15What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? 16And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be My people. 17Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you. 18And I will be your Father, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

7: 1Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.

Ephesians 2:20-22

20Together, we are His house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus Himself. 21We are carefully joined together in Him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. 22Through Him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by His Spirit.

Do Not Love This World

1 John 2:15-17

15Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. (lust of flesh, lust of the eye, & pride of life).
