Crowns of the Kingdom of Heaven (The Crown of Righteousness)

Crowns of the Kingdom of Heaven (The Crown of Righteousness)

In our study of “The Crowns of Heaven,” we have now come to the 4th crown that is available to the Righteous Ones that meet God’s qualifications. The 4th crown is “The Crown of Righteousness.”

Let’s begin in 2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 8, it reads:

8And now the prize awaits me–the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of His return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to His appearing.

Who receives the Crown of Righteousness?

The Crown of Righteousness is for those who long for and, live for Christ. As we look at verse 6, Paul was committed to living for Christ. His life was poured out as an offering to God. Paul gave his all to the Kingdom of God. He fought the good fight, he suffered for the Lord, he kept a clear mind, he preached the gospel to others, and yet He finished the race.

Do you long or live for Christ? Ask yourself, have you fought the good fight? Have you given up everything for the Kingdom of God? Are you going to finish the race? Have you shared Christ with others, and made disciples for the Lord?

If so, know that the prize waits you – the Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord will give to you on the day of His return. It is a Kingdom Law (commandment), that was given to you by God to live for the Kingdom of God. It is Kingdom Law that you share Jesus with others around you, and your family members. It is Kingdom Law that you run the race as Paul did, and not give up.

But know this, if you give up, then Satan has won! Live for Christ, and share Christ with others, so that you will be given a Crown of Righteousness and a Robe of Righteousness by the Lord when He returns Amen…Amen!
