Crowns of the Kingdom of Heaven (The Crown of Glory)

Crowns of the Kingdom of Heaven (The Crown of Glory)

As we come to the close of the Crowns of the Kingdom of Heaven series we will look at the 5th crown, which is the Crown of Glory.

This Crown of a very specific, because this crown is given only to the Messengers, Pastors, Preacher, Prophets, and the Leader’s of God’s flock. I like to think of this Crown as the Super Bowl Trophy of Heaven. This Crown is awarded to the leaders that met the call of God, and achieved success over Satan. They brought in all of the souls that God had given to them, or planted in those to be harvested by another leader in another part of the world. So let’s see the trophy that every leader should be striving to obtain for the glory of God.

In your Constitution (bible) turn with me to 1 Peter 5:2-5: This is Peter speaking to, and giving advice to the elders, and young men in the churches.

“As a fellow elder, I appeal to you: 2Care for the flock God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly-not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. 3Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example. 4And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor. 5…for “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.”

Now, let go over to 2 Corinthians and read chapter 4, all of it.

Who receives the Crown of Glory?

The Crown of Glory is for those Preachers, Pastors, Prophets, and Messengers of God who stayed faithful to the word of God. Who lived by the word of God, led their flock by the word of God, and taught the word of God.

We as Preachers, Pastors, Prophets, and Messengers of God were given six commands by God to follow:

  1. Feed, do not fleece the flock of God
  2. Take oversight of the flock of God
  3. Serve God and His flock willingly
  4. Serve readily, not for personal gain
  5. Do not be Lords over God’s heritage
  6. Be examples to the flock in utter humility and service

Servants of God…are you following these commands of God? Are you leading your flock down the road to destruction or through the narrow gate to Heaven?

Know this my fellow Messengers of God, you are a Crown in God’s hands. Serve God with a humble spirit, knowing that not only will you receive this Crown, but also the Crown of Righteousness, Crown of Life, Crown of Rejoicing, and the Holy Crown.

Your riches are stored up for you in Heaven for doing that which you were called to do.

Lead God’s sheep into the Kingdom of Heaven!
