We begin our new life through transformation, and we must learn how to live in our transformation, but most importantly where our transformation ends. There are 3 kingdom principles we need to know about the new life (being born-again), so that we can have a better understanding of what it means to live a new life, and to become a new you!
3 New Life Principles
Read and study the following scriptures
- Galatians 2:20: The Christian Life is a Crucified Life
- 2 Peter 1:3-4: We are Partakers of a Divine Nature
- Philippians 2:12-13: We Must Work Out Our Salvation
Now that you have been prepped…let’s get united with Christ, Amen!
Read and study the following scriptures to know how to become united with Christ.
14One day Jesus cast out a demon from a man who couldn’t speak, and when the demon was gone, the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed, 15but some of them said, “No wonder He can cast out demons. He gets His power from Satan, the prince of demons.”16Others, trying to test Jesus, demanded that He show them a miraculous sign from heaven to prove His authority.
17He knew their thoughts, so He said, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A family splintered by feuding will fall apart.18You say I am empowered by Satan. But if Satan is divided and fighting against himself, how can his kingdom survive? 19And if I am empowered by Satan, what about your own exorcists? They cast out demons, too, so they will condemn you for what you have said.20But if I am casting out demons by the power of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you.21For when a strong man like Satan is fully armed and guards his palace, his possessions are safe—22until someone even stronger attacks and overpowers him, strips him of his weapons, and carries off his belongings.
23“Anyone who isn’t with Me opposes Me, and anyone who isn’t working with Me is actually working against Me.
1 Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of His wonderful grace? 2 Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? 3 Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined Him in His death? 4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. 5 Since we have been united with Him in His death, we will also be raised to life as He was.
United: joined together, cemented, attached by growing, fellowship
Let’s go to Philippians 3:10-11:
10I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead. I want to suffer with Him, sharing in His death, 11so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!
In verse 11 we find the end of the journey into the Kingdom of Heaven. Lastly, remember…We cannot experience the end of our spiritual journey if we are not united with Christ!
