3 Effective Principles for Leadership Development

To become successful in your personal life, and develop as an individual, there are 3 principles that you must implement and live by. By not implementing these 3 principles in your life, you will miss out on the personal growth you desire in every area of your life.

By implementing the principles below everyday and applying them by meditating on them as walk out your day, you will begin to see a significant change in your understanding of life, and your will to become a more meaningful person.

Put into practice daily to build up your faith, so that change may come!

1. Change Your Thinking

Proverbs 4:23 (NLT): “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
Proverbs 23:7 (KJV): “For as he thinketh in his heart so is he….

What does it mean to guard your heart? It means to be careful what you allow to go in.

★ Remember this: Everything that you watch or listen to goes into your heart. So stop looking at negative and vile TV shows and images, stop listening to negative music or conversations, etc.  This also means to get rid of negative friends and family members. Surround yourself with positive people and friends to help reinforce your change

★ If you think negative thoughts you will receive negative results. If you think positive thoughts you will receive positive results. Words are power, and whatever you speak, you will speak into existence! So think before you speak!!!!!!

You get out what you put in!

2. Become a Learner

Proverbs 23:12: “Commit yourself to instruction; listen carefully to words of knowledge.”

★ You must feed your new way of thinking. And the only food that will give you the results you are looking for is the Word of God (Bible). The Bible produces pure results for every area of your life. It is life changing, self-motivating, and provides you with strength and protection. God’s instructions are better than man’s.

Read the Bible (constitution) daily, before you start your day, and at the end of your day at bedtime.

3. Stay Focused

John 10:10: “The thief’s purpose is to steal, and kill, and to destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

★ The devil (Satan) wants to get you off the path that God has you on. Satan will try every means at his disposal. But Satan’s most effective way is by taking away the picture of the path, by putting up obstacles, or bringing about adversity to get you to lose focus. To stop Satan from blocking your path, and to overcome his attacks is through prayer. Pray when you wake up and before you lie down at night to go to bed by simply asking God for wisdom. Ask God to reveal to you when the devil is trying to attack your focus, to get you off of the path that God has you on. Trust me, it works: I live by these 3 principles daily.

Prayer is the Key; Prayer is the only way!
